Why I built The Fractional CHRO
I spent more than two decades in strategic HR and people leadership across financial services and other industries, sitting beside CEOs and executive teams while they built and scaled their companies. I saw the same pattern everywhere I went. The businesses that needed senior HR judgment most were often the ones least able to justify a full-time executive to provide it.
That gap is what The Fractional CHRO exists to close. Not HR administration, and not a policy binder that nobody opens. Senior judgment on the decisions that carry real consequences: how you classify and pay people, how you hire, how you exit someone without creating liability, and now how you bring AI into an HR function without losing control of it.
The work has taken me into owner-operated dental practices, wealth management firms, and founder-led companies. Different industries, remarkably similar problems. Compensation that grew by accident rather than design. Employment agreements that would not survive a challenge. Good operators carrying people risk they did not know they had.
Leaving a senior corporate role to build this was not a small decision. What made it feel possible was my daughter Kaira. Watching her walk into new things without apology is a fairly effective argument against overthinking your own.
If any of this sounds like your company, that is usually the signal to have a conversation before the problem becomes a file.
